Wildrose, ND — Rescue

A custom rescue truck delivered to the Wildrose Fire Protection District (unit 9650).

About This Build

This custom rescue truck was built for the Wildrose Fire Protection District (unit 9650) on a Ford Super Duty 4x4 — a compact rescue rig set up to carry a full complement of extrication and support gear and light up a scene at night.

The enclosed aluminum diamond-plate body runs roll-up compartments over Luverne Black Grip Strut Slidemaster single- and dual-compartment slides, a G3 poly slide-out tray, a poly center console, and SCBA tubes and brackets to keep bottles secure and ready. A 30-gallon Enforcer compressed-air foam system (CAFS) with a booster reel gives the crew knockdown capability on car fires and small grass starts.

Scene and warning lighting are the headline: a Command Light tower, FRC Spectra 15K LED scene lights, and a full custom lighting package, backed by an Able 2 ShowMe 57" Luminator bar with traffic stick, a Carson siren, and a ShowMe speaker and backup alarm. A Thunderstruck bumper with a Curt receiver hitch and winch, a Kussmaul battery tender, and light folding steps round out the build. Designed and fabricated in-house at Midwest Design in Arlington, SD.
