Sinai, SD — Rescue 1

A custom rescue truck delivered to Sinai Fire and Rescue in March 2024.

About This Build

Delivered in March 2024, Rescue 1 is a custom rescue truck built for Sinai Fire and Rescue on a Ford F-550 4x4 — a compact, fully enclosed rig set up to carry a complete extrication and support load and work a scene day or night.

We built a custom enclosed aluminum rescue body with a rear frame-rail compartment and interior shelving, finished with Turtle Tile flooring, PAC tool boards, Flamefighter SCBA brackets, and a G3Fire poly slide-out tray and center console to keep gear organized and fast to reach. An Enforcer 30 portable CAFS gives the crew foam knockdown capability, and a TNT Rescue Systems combi tool (DeWalt) handles extrication.

Scene and warning lighting run FRC Spectra scene lights, Whelen stop/tail/turn, backup and warning lights, an Able 2 light bar with traffic stick and speaker, and a Carson Magforce siren, with R-O-M door switches and compartment lighting and a Kussmaul Super Auto Eject keeping the electrical shore-ready. Up front, a Thunderstruck bumper carries a Warn Industries winch, with Cast Products folding steps, Dicke Fold & Roll sign systems, and custom door graphics and striping by Outlaw Graphics. Designed and fabricated in-house at Midwest Design in Arlington, SD.
