A quick-attack brush truck delivered to the Hayti Community Volunteer Fire Department.
Brush 2 is a quick-attack wildland truck built for the Hayti Community Volunteer Fire Department on a 2015 Chevrolet 3500HD 1-ton — a compact, fast first-out rig for grass and field fires around Hayti, SD.
We built a custom aluminum body with full LED interior and exterior lighting and mounted a 300-gallon skid unit with an onboard foam cell. Water and foam are driven by a CET pump with a 20 hp Honda engine through a custom stainless-steel manifold, with a Steel Eagle hose reel carrying 100' of line for pump-and-roll attack.
Up front, a Thunderstruck grille replacement with a built-in through-waterway feeds an Akron forestry monitor, so the crew can knock down a line from the bumper on the move. Designed and fabricated in-house at Midwest Design in Arlington, SD.
